Outgrowing Lovable or Replit? Make your vibe-coded app production-ready.
Your Lovable, Replit, Bolt or v0 app has real users now. Fixes start breaking other things, the code is hard to hand to a developer, and you're not sure what's safe to change. Keep the speed and keep asking in plain language. Echelar's AI agents work in your own GitHub repository, and every change is planned, built, reviewed and tested before you merge it.

How you start- Lea, founder, asks in Echelar
Let customers invite a teammate to their account.
- Orchestrator & Product plans it
An invites table, an invite email through your existing provider, and an accept page. Done when an invited teammate can sign in and see the same orders.
- Builder opens pull request #57
6 files changed, 4 tests added, 14 tests pass.
- PR Reviewer blocks it
The new invites table has no row-level security policy, so any signed-in user could read every invite.
DOCS/security.md · “Every table with user data has a policy.” - Fix Session, re-review clean
Policy added, plus a test that a second user can’t read the invite. Checks passed at 3e91aa.
- Lea merges #57

The prototype worked. Now it needs to stay working.
App builders are great at the first version. Once customers depend on the app, every change needs the things a real engineering team does.
| Topic | With an app builder | With Echelar |
|---|---|---|
| Each change | Changes go straight into the app. | Each change is planned against how your app is built and arrives as a pull request you approve. |
| Testing | You click around to see whether anything broke. | Your tests run on every change. Where there are none, the PR Reviewer says so. |
| Review | Nobody reviews the code. | A separate PR Reviewer checks every change against your app's rules and sends back what falls short. |
| What the AI knows | Context lives in your prompts. | Architecture, decisions and conventions are kept with their sources, and marked stale when the code changes. |
| Cost | You buy credits. | You bring your own model keys, pay providers directly, and every Session has a budget. |
Before real users rely on it.
Three checks we'd run first on any app built with an AI app builder, whether or not you use Echelar.
- Lock down who can read your data
Turn on row-level security for every table that holds user data, then test as a logged-out visitor and as a second user: neither should see anyone else's records. Your app builder's own security scan is a good start, not the finish line.
- Keep secrets out of the browser
Keys for payments, email or AI providers belong in server-side functions, never in code that ships to the browser. Rotate any key that was ever committed.
- Test the paths that make money
Automated tests for sign-up, login, checkout and the one action customers pay for, run on every change. That's where a fix in one place most often breaks another.
How you start.
One repository, three steps. No rewrite and no migration project: Echelar starts from the code you have.
- 01Put the code on GitHub
Most app builders can push your code to a GitHub repository. Then install the Echelar GitHub App on that one repository.
- 02Echelar learns your app
It maps the architecture, conventions and docs, and shows you what it knows and what it doesn't yet.
- 03Ask for the next change
In plain language, in Echelar, Slack or Linear. You get a pull request that was planned, tested and reviewed, with a summary of what changed and what was checked.
Built right, every change. Without slowing you down.
Right means right for your app: its structure, its rules and its tests. Echelar applies them to every change and keeps the evidence.
- Built on how your app already works.
Every Session starts from your app's structure and rules, and keeps each change focused on what you asked for.
- Reviewed before you read it.
The PR Reviewer reads each change against your rules and blocks what would break them. The fix comes back for another review.
- You make the call.
Agents propose, build and review. Only people merge, deploy and enable. You read the summary, check the result, and merge when you're ready.
Questions founders ask first.
Is Lovable production ready?
It can be, for many apps. A Lovable app is standard code you can keep in GitHub, so whether it's ready depends on checks like the three above, and on reviewing every change, more than on the tool.
Do I need to be a developer?
No. You ask in plain language and approve pull requests. Each one comes with a summary of what changed and what was checked. Someone has to decide what to merge, and that person can be you.
Do I have to leave Lovable or Replit right away?
No. Connect the repository and start with one change. Echelar doesn't host or deploy your app, so where it runs today doesn't change.
Will Echelar rewrite my app?
No. It works on the code you have and keeps each change focused. A larger restructuring is something you ask for, and it still arrives as a pull request you review.
What does it cost?
You bring your own model keys and pay model providers directly. Echelar is in early release, and early teams agree its pricing with the founder.
Is my code safe?
Each Session runs in an isolated sandbox scoped to your organization, torn down when the Session ends. Your model keys are stored encrypted.
Bring the app you're afraid to touch.
The vibe-coded app with real users and no tests. We'll point Echelar at it live, and you'll see what it learns, what it builds, what it catches, and where it waits for you.
